Slieve League – Donegal – Ireland

Some of my drone footage I filmed at Slieve League in Donegal, Ireland. All filmed on a DJI Phantom 4

Slieve League is a mountain on the Atlantic coast of County Donegal, Ireland. At 601 metres, it has some of the highest sea cliffs on the island of Ireland. A must visit if you are up at that part of the country.

300 years on Lough Derravaragh

SWAN_LOUGH_DERRAVARAGH_MB

The legend says that the children of Lir spent 300 years on lough Derravaragh.

Jealous Aoife, king Lir’s second wife and who was his dead wife’s sister plotted to get rid of his children. She used a magic spell to turn his children into swans for eternity. And for 300 hundred years the swans ended up on Derravaragh, 300 years in the Sea of Moyle, and 300 years on the waters of Irrus Domnann Erris. To read more visit here.

Lough Derravarragh is large lake in Westmeath and is fairly popular for angling and camping trips, the lake itself is supposed to have a massive amount of pike and trout. There is a large caravan park located at Donore, Multyfarnham and is open from March to October. The caravan park is on the edge of the lake and has a shop, small cafe, childrens play area, hot showers and for angling there is boat hire and fishing tackle for sale. You can find out more about the caravan park here.

Kathmandu, Nepal.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 struck Nepal on the 25th of April 2015, killing over four thousand people and counting. It has injured and displaced an uncountable number at this early stage. The people affected have been sleeping on the streets in open areas and are running out of water, food and medical supplies. Electricity and communication networks are also down at this time.

Kathmandu has population density of only 97 square meters so you can imagine what it can be like there!

These people need serious help at this early stage….you can help if you like by donating to Unicef who are preparing cargo planes to airlift of 120 tonnes of much needed humanitarian supplies including food, medical supplies, tents and blankets.

You can donate here: http://www.unicef.org/

Psar Nat, Battambang Market, Cambodia

The man asked me to take his picture while I was strolling around the morning market of Psar Nat in Battambang. He spotted that I had a camera and asked me to take his picture.

Psar Nat is a fine example of some of the markets in Cambodia. Most restaurants and families will trade and buy all the produce they need at these markets. Visiting the markets can give you a good insight to cambodian life.

Horn Head – Donegal

In August I took the long four hour drive to the north of Ireland to catch a glimpse of the northern lights. There wasn’t much solar activity nor was there much clear skies.

Theses two pics were the best we could get during the brief twenty minute or so clear sky.

Horn Head is a peninsula in Donegal, North West Ireland, close to Dunfanaghy.

Festival Of The Fires 2012

Festival of the fires is a rekindling of Ireland’s ancient Celtic Bealtaine festival at the Hill of Uisneach in Mullingar, County Westmeath. Festival of the fires kicked off the festival season in Ireland on Saturday May the 5th 2012 in spectacular fashion. Festival of the Fires is one of those small festivals that gathers momentum over time, I’m pretty sure its only going to become more popular among festival goers in 2013. Festival of the fires featured this vide on their website here

I was happy to be there to capture its atmosphere
